TK-8 DISTRICT TRANSFORMATION
In 2022, the Board of Trustees voted to adopt a fiscal recovery plan that included a grade reconfiguration at EV Cain Middle School, and Districtwide, amongst other recommendations for budget reductions in fiscal years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 to prevent fiscal insolvency. During the implementation of that adopted plan, grade reconfiguration was not acted upon due to the inability to prepare appropriately as final Board decisions had been delayed. The Board of Trustees noted during that time that grade reconfiguration would need to be re-evaluated in the future. Per Board of Trustees' request at the September 13, 2023 Board of Trustee meeting, any actionable fiscal reduction proposals were to be brought forth for Board action at the October business meeting. As such, this recommendation for Districtwide grade reconfiguration is being brought for approval.
