Bullying means systematically and chronically inflicting physical hurt or psychological
distress on another person. Bullying involves physical and emotional behaviors that are intentional, controlling, and hurtful, thus creating harassing, intimidating, hostile or otherwise offensive educational environments. Bullying behaviors include unwanted and repeated written, verbal, or physical behavior, including any threatening, insulting, or dehumanizing gesture, by a student or adult, that is severe or pervasive enough to create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive educational environment; cause discomfort or humiliation; or unreasonably interfere with an individual’s school performance or participation; or creates a disruption in the educational environment.

 

AUSD does not tolerate bully and has resources in place allowing you to provide bully reports to our Bully Response Teams anonymously (without fear of retaliation), confidentially (by being able to engage in 2-way anonymous communication, if desired) or identified (if you would like to provide your contact details). Reports can be submitted through our Reporting Link below allowing you to choose your identification levels (anonymous, confidential or identified) or also by printing our bullying PDF and providing it to your school site's administration team or student's teacher.
