1. Download AUSD Substitute
Application Forms. Use the provided
checklist to ensure that you have completed the necessary
forms, read the employee notifications regarding district
policies and copied the required documents.
2. Keep the Employee Notifications and School Calendar for
your reference. Be sure to sign at the bottom of the checklist
to acknowledge that you have read and understand the AUSD
policies.
3. Get fingerprinted. Contact the District Office (530)
885-7242 to obtain a LiveScan form. A list of suggested LiveScan
Locations and associated costs is provided for your convenience.
4. Mail or deliver your signed checklist, completed forms
and photocopied documents to:

INCOMPLETE APPLICATION PACKAGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
5. Names of substitute applicants are submitted by the District
Office to the Board of Trustees for approval. Applications
must be received and processed three days prior to a board
meeting. Upon board approval, you will receive a letter indicating
that you have been added to our substitute roster.
6. Please report any changes such as address, telephone
number or payroll status to Donna Mulsow at the District Office.
Also, please inform the District Office if you wish to be
removed from our substitute roster.
